Welcome to the Ruth House Update blog. We  have been very busy laying the foundation of this organization. Let me introduce myself. My name is Maribeth Achterberg, co-founder and Executive Director of this organization. We are so excited about how 2009 has ended and our plans to build this house in 2010. We have successfully granted the deed for the acre of land free and clear to the Ruth House this week!  The organization will now have over $340,000.00 of equity in land to leverage and help site the house in the coming year so we can start inviting young ladies to live in a house that values them and wants to see them succeed in life! 

At our Chamber business after-hours Jeff announced our completion of the legal work to release the acre of land to much applause. Many people are beginning to learn about the Ruth House mission and the plight of the hidden population of young ladies who need a place to live.  We will be scheduling presentations after January 4th, 2010. If you would like a presentation given to your civic or church group, please let us know and we will schedule your event. There are many blessed stories associated with launching the Ruth House. We want to share them with you so you can be blessed too!  Call 910-575-6757 to schedule your group’s presentation.
